The National Board of Governors has the authority to establish overarching policy, to plan and encourage the growth of the Foundation and to manage the national endowment fund.
National Advisory Board
In the effort to strengthen the collective philanthropic voice of the industry, the Foundation has
developed the National Advisory Board comprised of insurance foundation leaders from across the industry. It is a platform for foundation leaders to exchange expertise, knowledge, and experience as well as to advise the National Board of Governors on philanthropic priorities.
Division Boards of Directors
Divisions are governed by a local board of directors with authority to establish guidelines for the division, raise funds, select grant focus areas, make community grants and work with local community based nonprofit organizations.

McKinsey and Company Partnership
The Foundation and the National Advisory Board have proudly collaborated with McKinsey and Company to quantify the insurance industry’s philanthropic efforts. With advisement from the IICF, McKinsey produced the report “Charitable Giving in The Property-Casualty Insurance Industry.” This report provides the first comprehensive review of the industry’s charitable contributions.

The Foundation is proud to announce the Women in Insurance Global Conference. The conference brought together some of the most distinguished woman and leaders of the industry.
