NOMINATE AN EVERYDAY HERO
The Midwest Division Blazing the Trail 1st Annual Benefit, to be held at the Field Museum in Chicago on March 1, 2012, will feature the first-ever "Frontier Awards". These awards will recognize and highlight insurance industry employees that embody the philanthropic and community-minded qualities refelctive of the IICF mission, Helping Communities. Enriching Lives. Together.
Three awards will be presented to those who contribute in the Midwest Division grant focus areas--Health, Safety, and Education. To nominate someone that you think deserves recognition for their outstanding contributions to our community, please complete and submit the 2012 Frontier Award Nomination form by December 30, 2011.

IICF Western Division 2011 Annual Benefit Dinner Highlights
The 18th Annual Western Division Benefit Dinner was held in San Francisco at the Four Seasons Hotel on May 19, 2011. Proceeds from the dinner benefit the IICF community grants program, and this year the Foundation recognized two outstanding organizations.
Fireman's Fund Insurance Company was honored for their generous and ongoing support of firefighters throughout the United States through their Heritage Program. The award was accepted by Mike LaRocco, President & CEO of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
The IICF also recognized the St. Baldrick's Foundation for their tireless fight to end childhood cancer. They were well represented by Chairman & Co-founder, John Bender; Executive Director, Kathleen Ruddy; and child ambassador and cancer survivor, Julia Hernandez. Mr. Bender also served as the 2011 IICF Dinner Chair.
The Foundation was also very pleased to welcome to the event, special guests, California Insurance Commissioner, Dave Jones; San Francisco Fire Chief, Joanne Hayes-White; San Francisco Deputy Fire Chief, Patrick Gardner; and dozens of our heroic Northern California firefighters.
