The Northeast Division of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) was launched in 2007 in New York City following the tenants of IICF, providing grants, volunteer service, and leadership in the community. The Division serves the entire Northeast region of the United States. The Division leadership is comprised of the Northeast Division Board of Directors, Chapter Boards of Directors, and Associate Boards as well as the IICF Northeast Division staff.
Since 2007, the Northeast Division has granted over $5 million to community nonprofits in the areas of education, children at risk, the environment, and disaster preparedness.
The Northeast Division participates in the annual IICF Week of Giving. During the Week of Giving in 2014, over 2,200 volunteers completed 150 service projects with more than 80 nonprofit organizations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
Each year, the Northeast Division contributes to three major leadership initiatives: The IICF Early Literacy Initiative, the Women in Insurance Conference Series, and a partnership with McKinsey and Company to provide the first quantitative review of philanthropic giving in the industry.
