Last year, in direct and immediate response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) united the insurance industry in a collective effort to combat food insecurity and a lack of educational resources for children and families made vulnerable by the pandemic. Through the generosity of our international industry supporters, IICF raised more than $1.3 million in 2020 and helped to provide 2.5 million meals to children and families in need.
By giving through IICF we can help children facing hunger
– at a time when needs remain greater than ever.
We know that so many in our communities continue to face food insecurity as the pandemic persists. According to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the US, 42 million people living in the United States may face hunger due to the pandemic, including 13 million children.* Households with children are more likely to experience food insecurity.
IICF is committed to helping support children, families and communities
in need throughout the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
